Privacy policy
This page explains what cranicspaceio collects on this website, why, and how to ask for a copy or a deletion.
Who is responsible
The data controller is cranicspaceio, 53 Scotby Rd, Scotby, Carlisle CA4 8BD, United Kingdom. Privacy requests go to [email protected] or +44 7457051754.
What we collect
If you email us, call us, or use the enquiry form, we receive the details you choose to send: your name, email address, phone number if you include one, the service you ask about, and the project description. The form does not store that information on this website. It opens a message in your own email application addressed to [email protected].
Server logs kept by our host may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. Those logs are used to keep the site available and to diagnose faults.
Cookies
This site sets one preference in your browser's local storage after you press Accept on the cookie notice. The key is cranicspaceio_cookie_consent and the value is accepted. It is not sent to us. There is no advertising cookie and no third-party analytics cookie. You can clear it in your browser at any time. The notice will show again after you do.
Why we use enquiry data
We use enquiry details to answer you and, if we are engaged, to perform the work you asked for. The lawful bases under UK GDPR are steps toward a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to a message you sent. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Project data
Geological files, assays, and models you send under an engagement are client confidential information. They are used only to deliver that engagement. If another specialist has to see part of the file, that is covered by the contract or a written confidentiality undertaking, and only the portion required for the task is shared.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful enquiries are kept for up to 24 months so we can find the earlier correspondence if you write again. Contract records are kept for as long as the contract requires and for the period we must keep business records under UK law. Server logs follow the host's ordinary retention, which is short-term operational storage.
Where it is processed
We work from the United Kingdom. Email and hosting providers may process data in the UK or in a country covered by UK adequacy regulations, or under the provider's standard contractual clauses. We do not operate a separate office outside the UK.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, a correction, deletion, or a restriction on how it is used. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We will respond to a rights request within one month.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Continued use of the site after that date is use of the updated policy.
